What to do?
When you receive a speeding ticket, it is best to be polite to the police officer. Remember, police do not know who you are and are prepared for the worst. Respect the officer and listen things will go better. Do not argue with the officer. Have your insurance and driver's license ready.
The Missouri DMV web page has an extensive amount of details for specifics on speeding tickets. There are two different options you can do after you receive a ticket.
|Pay the Ticket||Fight the Ticket|
|Pay the fine||Benefit of not adding points|
|Plea bargain penalties||Fine may be less, but with added attorney costs|
|Possible points added to license||Chance of lowering offense|
|Possible option to take driving class|
